Scarlett Johansson has topped Forbes’ highest-paid actress list for 2018, as she earned $40m (£31.8m) in the last year.
The Marvel star quadrupled her earnings from the 2017 list, and knocked last year’s highest paid actress Emma Stone, off the top spot.
Stone didn’t feature at all in this year’s top 10.
Angelina Jolie returned to the list, largely helped by an advance payment for her future role in Maleficent 2.
Jennifer Aniston is also on the list, making the majority of her money from deals with Emirates Airlines and Aveeno.
Also back on the list this year is Reese Witherspoon, while Gal Gadot features for the first time, rounding out the top 10.
A 2016 study showed that of speaking characters in films, 28.7% are female and 18% of casts across film, broadcast, and cable and streaming are gender balanced.
Forbes’ top 10 is below, with this year’s earnings listed next to the actress. Flip to see what they made last year.
